[FAQ]How do I know-my character is good enough?

[Question]
Overseas friends asked me
How do I know my calligraphy characters is good or bad?

[My answer is]
it's the reason why we need to collect so many anciant calligraphy masters' characters book to learn at the beginning.

this is the another calligraphy style of "Li-Su" from Han Dynasty, ancient of China.

(almost 2000 years ago)

The characteristic of Li-Su is not so upright and foursquare

the widthways line is more changeable-

especially is the end of the line softer like bird's tail

At the beginning of learning calligraphy we always need to find a characters book from an ancient calligraphy master,he or she must be the best calligraphor in his or her generation. And he or she always left some beautiful calligraphy book from their created new style art of characters.

After learning from the calligraphors' characters book so many years(depend on you practice how hard-many months or many years, not certain) ,to well know what's the rule they created different other old style, maybe you could put it down and change another calligraphor master's book to follow.

So,that's the reason why you could understand if your calligraphy is good or not, because you have a teacher beside you all the time-the calligraphy master.^_^

But,after beginning, you will have another challenge come out very soon-Why can I not write the same line with the calligraphy book? What's the problem with me?

Let me show you next time.
